Howe issues update on Botman, Joelinton, Wilson and Tonali ahead of PSG - Watch here

Eddie Howe has issued an injury update ahead of Wednesday night's Champions League clash with PSG.

Speaking from the press room at St James' Park, the boss has revealed that Callum Wilson (tight hamstring) is a major doubt alongside Joelinton (hamstring). Both will have late fitness tests and are 'close' to returning, but it seems tomorrow will come too soon for the pair, as things stand.

Sven Botman has been ruled out of the game after missing our 2-0 win over Burnley with a knee injury and Sandro Tonali is fit to face the French giants tomorrow. The Italian missed the first part of today's training session but is 'fine' and in contention to start.

Here's what Howe's had to say on all four just moments ago:

"Callum we think won't make tomorrow but he's going to be close. As it stands now, he won't make the game.

"Joey (Joelinton) is in a similar position, where he's close, and we'll make a late check on him.

"Sven [Botman] is out, Sandro [Tonali] is fine."
