More great news as Newcastle follow 4-1 win vs PSG with THREE Premier League nominations
If last night's 4-1 win over PSG wasn't enough, Eddie Howe, Kieran Trippier and Miguel Almiron have just been nominated for Premier League awards for the month of September.
Trippier (vote here) is up for the Player of the Month award after a stunning month at both ends, where he racked up FOUR assists - including a hat-trick at Sheffield United - and helped us to three-straight clean sheets.
As for Howe, who is up for Manager of the Month (vote here), he's overseen a stunning response to our 3-1 defeat at Brighton in early September, following that concerning display at the Amex with wins over Brentford, Sheffield United and Burnley by an aggregate score of 11-0.
Almiron's nomination is for the Premier League Goal of the Month following his stunning strike in last Saturday's 2-0 win over Burnley, with the Paraguayan up against the likes of Leandro Trossard, Callum Hudson-Odoi and Joachim Andersen.
Howe is up against Mikel Arteta, Unai Emery, Jurgen Klopp and Ange Postecoglou, while Trippier has been nominated alongside Julian Alvarez, Jarrod Bowen, Pedro Neto, Ollie Watkins, Mo Salah and Son Heung-min.
After a tough start to the season, it's been a simply sensational month on all fronts. Three big wins in the league, five clean sheets in our last six in all comps, beating Man City in the cup, a precious point at AC Milan and a 4-1 hammering of PSG!
