Newcastle release emotional Bruno Guimaraes interview after Brazilian signs new deal - Video

Newcastle have released a brilliant interview with Bruno Guimaraes and his dad after the Brazilian signed a new five-year contract lasting until 2028. 

As we all know by now, Dick Guimaraes has been a huge role model to Bruno throughout his life - he is the reason Bruno wears number 39 as it was the number his dad had on his taxi in Brazil.

In the interview (watch it in full below), the pair discussed the love they have felt from supporters all throughout the city, with the midfielder adding that ‘this is where I have felt most loved by the fans’.

Though not initially a fan of the ‘cold, cold weather’, the 25-year-old is ‘very happy’ to commit his future to the club and hopes to ‘give even more joy to the fans’. 

Reflecting on the PSG game, our star man claimed it was ‘one of the best’ atmospheres he’d ever played in and was so happy to have appeared in such a ‘spectacular’ game in the club’s return to the Champions League.

Bruno is already looking forward to his future on Tyneside with his newborn son Pietro -  ‘another Geordie’ - as well as Matteo who will soon be starting school in Newcastle and, as his dad hinted at, may well be a Toon player in the future.
