Newcastle United star on brink of suspension after Anthony Gordon ban
Bruno Guimaraes is one yellow card away from suspension after picking up his fourth caution of the season in Sunday's 2-2 draw at West Ham.
As Premier League rules state, any Premier League player booked five times inside the first 19 league games will be suspended for one match, meaning the Brazilian will be walking a tightrope in each of our next 11 games.
We play Crystal Palace a week on Saturday in our first game back after the international break. Should Bruno be booked in that game, he'd miss our trip to Wolves on 28th October. Should he escape a booking against Palace but receive one against Wolves, he would sit out our home game with Arsenal on Saturday 4th November.
This comes after Anthony Gordon missed yesterday's game in East London after picking up his fifth booking of the season in our 2-0 win over Burnley.
In truth, Bruno was lucky to avoid red at West Ham, as he cynically brought down James Ward-Prowse just moments after he was booked at the London Stadium.
If (and probably when) Bruno gets his next yellow, let's hope we have Joelinton and Joe Willock fit again, as our midfield options have looked a little light with both Joe's on the sidelines.
