Paul Merson has issued another message of support to Sandro Tonali, insisting there needs to be more awareness and support around those suffering with gambling addiction.

Speaking on Gillette Soccer Saturday before covering our 4-0 win over Crystal Palace, he insisted that gambling is "an illness" that "people need to understand."

Merson fears a lengthy suspension is heading Tonali's way and "dreads to think" how long he'll be banned, but feels it's the wrong punishment for the player and club, believing FIFA an the Premier League need to show more respect for those suffering from addiction.
