Newcastle handed two hidden boosts ahead of another huge week
Saturday's win over Arsenal felt huge. A statement win for the club against a title challenger, a victory that keeps us within touching distance of our top four rivals and yet another memorable night at St James' Park.
However, there were a couple of results elsewhere on Saturday that bode well for Eddie Howe's Mags ahead of another massive week for the club.
Just as we sealed our second confidence-boosting win of the week, Borussia Dortmund suffered a damaging 4-0 defeat at home to Bayern Munich, where Harry Kane scored a hat-trick and the hosts managed just one shot on target all game.
After our trip to Germany, we face a Bournemouth side who were battered 6-1 at Man City on Saturday. Not only was it an absolute hammering for the Cherries, new signing Alex Scott left the Etihad in a knee brace after being forced off through injury.
Based on the reaction from Bournemouth fans on social media, Scott has been their star player in recent weeks and would be a huge miss should injury rule him out of next weekend's game.
So, whilst injuries and suspensions may be piling up at Newcastle, our next two opponents have big problems of their own heading into another big week for the club.
