Newcastle set for surprise injury boost but 'no sign' of four players in training
According to NewcastleWorld, Dan Burn is the latest Mag closing in on a return to action and could even make the squad for tomorrow's clash with AC Milan.
The defender suffered a spinal injury in our 1-0 win over Arsenal at the start of November and was expected to miss "a couple of months."
Those were Eddie Howe's words, suggesting Burn would be back in the New Year, but it seems the big man from Blyth may even make the bench for Wednesday's Champions League decider at St James' Park.
Elsewhere, Sky Sports' Keith Downie has revealed that there was 'no sign' of Anthony Gordon and Sean Longstaff in Tuesday's training session. He plans to quiz Eddie Howe on their absence at the press conference later today, but feels we shouldn't read too much into this just yet.
Callum Wilson was pictured taking part in this morning's session, although injured duo Harvey Barnes and Sven Botman weren't involved.
