Newcastle co-owner releases personal statement after devastating night at SJP

Newcastle United co-owner Mehrdad Ghodoussi has issues a personal message to fans after last night's heartbreaking defeat to AC Milan.

He thanks the players for taking us on an 'incredible journey' over the past few months, feeling we deserved more, but insists we still have so much of the season ahead and will 'pick ourselves up' for Saturday's Premier League clash with Fulham after three-straight defeats.

In a positive message during a tough moment, Ghodoussi believes the 'future is bright' at Newcastle, feeling we are 'building something special' and will 'continue to grow' after learning a tough lesson on Europe's biggest stage last night.
