3 changes? - Predicted Newcastle team to face Fulham

by Olly Hawkins ·

Newcastle United take on an in-form Fulham side in today's 3pm kick-off, hoping to get back to winning ways after three-straight defeats in all competitions.

Here's the side I'm backing Eddie Howe to go with and why:

Predicted XI: Dubravka – Livramento, Lascelles, Schar, Burn – Longstaff, Bruno, Joelinton – Almiron, Isak, Gordon.

With Trippier suspended, I'm expecting Livramento at right-back and Burn at left-back. We're often better defensively with Burn in the side and have shipped nine goals in our last three games, so I can see Howe going for our big man from Blyth over the hugely talented yet inexperienced Hall.

In midfield, Miley has played a LOT of football and Longstaff is fit again, so I can see him coming back into the midfield, with Isak replacing Wilson; who played 90 minutes in midweek. That seems an easy swap, although we could see Isak wide and Wilson up top if Gordon does fail a late fitness test.
