5 changes? - Predicted Newcastle side to face Chelsea tonight

It's time to predict which side Eddie Howe will select at Stamford Bridge tonight, where we take on Chelsea for a place in the semi-finals of the Carabao Cup.

Here's the side I think he'll go with and why:

(4-3-3): Dubravka - Trippier, Krafth, Dummett, Burn - Miley, Bruno, Longstaff - Almiron, Wilson, Livramento.

Howe will be desperate to progress after we were dumped out of Europe last week and hinted at fielding his best available team in Monday's press conference.

Fatigue has to be managed - we can't afford any more injuries - and he'll be wary of our poor away record, so it'll be interesting to see what he does.

Starting at the back, I think Lascelles has been carrying a couple of knocks, so it could make sense for him to sit this one out, especially when Trippier is back and Krafth has proved to be reliable (at right-back or centre-back) whenever called upon. Paul Dummett was also outstanding in our 3-0 win at Old Trafford, proving that night that he can work well alongside Krafth.

Hall scored and impressed in our win over Man Utd in the last round. He's fresh and could allow Livramento to play further forward, which may be needed to give a tiring Gordon a break. You want your best players playing in a quarter-final, but Gordon only just passed a fitness test to face Fulham and looked shattered at the end. There's Matt Ritchie, but I see Livramento causing more problems than him out wide with his pace and directness.

The other change is Miley coming in for Joelinton, with the teenager, Bruno and Longstaff our only fit midfielders heading into the game. Wilson could do with a game off up top - he VERY rarely starts three in seven days - but I'm not sure we can risk Isak if his groin still isn't right.
