Newcastle 'leading race' to sign Serie A winger - Club prepared to sell for €25m - Report

According to reports in Italy, Newcastle and Crystal Palace are in pole position to sign Juventus winger Matias Soule.

This comes from Gazzetta dello Sport, who claim that the two clubs are currently 'leading the race' for his signature ahead of the January window. Soule is currently on loan at Frosinone, where he's bagged six goals and an assist in 14 Serie A appearances.

The 20-year-old is a regular for Argentina's U20 side and could leave Juventus in the New Year, with the Italian giants prepared to recall him from his loan spell and sell for a fee in the region of €25m to ease their financial issues.

This isn't the first time we've been linked with a move for the right-winger, as the same outlet reported on our interest earlier this month.

It remans to be seen just how serious we are about signing the highly-rated South American, but Gazzetta claim Juventus are prepared to send Dean Huijsen to Frosinone next month if they are willing to end Soule's loan spell early.
