Newcastle co-owner issues personal message - Onwards and upwards in 2024

Mehrdad Ghodoussi has sent a New Year message to Newcastle United fans on social media, looking back on 2023 and ahead to 2024.

He describes 2023 as a year filled by a 'unique blend of highs and lows' after we went to Wembley and secured a top four finish before suffering a tough December that saw us struggle in league, cup and Europe.

However, he believes 2024 can be a year of 'positive change' for the club and 'collective success', seeing every challenge as an opportunity as we head into a tough run of January fixtures. Here's what he had to say:

"As we bid farewell to 2023, a year marked by its unique blend of highs and lows, challenges and triumphs, let us take a moment to reflect and embrace the lessons learned.

"Here’s to 2024 – a year brimming with potential. Let’s make it a year of positive change, personal growth, and collective success. May it be a year where we flourish and thrive, turning every challenge into an opportunity for a better and more successful tomorrow. Happy New Year to all!"
