Amanda Staveley and Mehrdad Ghodoussi have reacted to Newcastle's huge win at Aston Villa, posting positive messages on what feels like a massive result and performance for Eddie Howe's Mags.

On Instagram, Staveley said the 'could not be prouder of our team' and thanked the traveling Toon Army for turning up in force; despite it being an 8.15pm kick-off on a Tuesday night.

Ghodoussi hailed our work rate in 'one hell of a game', highlighting the fact it was our first win at Villa since 2013 and the first time Unai Emery's side have lost at home since February last year.

Amanda Staveley - 'Outstanding performance tonight! I could not be prouder of our team. Thank you to all of our amazing fans to continue to travel regardless of distance. What an amazing night 🖤🤍 #howaythelads'

Mehrdad Ghodoussi - 'That was one hell of a game . The lads worked their socks off. I think that’s our first win at Villa Park since 2013 and the first time Villa has lost at home since Feb 23. And let’s not forget the incredible support tonight.'
