Newcastle United have announced the signing of Man City midfielder Alfie Harrison.
The highly-rated 18-year-old joins from for an undisclosed fee, signing an initial two-and-a-half-year contract.
He arrives following an outstanding stint in Man City's U18s, where he scored eight and assisted four in eight Premier League youth appearances this season, earning him a recent call-up to their U21s and a chance to train with Pep Guardiola's first-team.
Harrison is likely to join our U21 set up and will hopefully become the next Newcastle youngster to work his way into Eddie Howe's plans, following in the footsteps of Lewis Miley and Elliot Anderson.
A club statement on NUFC.co.uk states: 'Midfielder Alfie Harrison has joined Newcastle United until the summer of 2026, signing for an undisclosed fee from Manchester City, subject to the necessary approvals.
The 18-year-old has built a reputation as a technically gifted player since joining City's Academy aged nine and will initially link up with Newcastle's Professional Development Phase (PDP).
An impressive 2022/23 saw Harrison help City's youngsters to the Under-18s Premier League title and he has continued that form this season with eight goals and four assists to his name.'
