Newcastle eyeing Senegal international to replace out-of-contract Mag - The Telegraph

Newcastle United are considering a summer move for Middlesbrough stopper Seny Dieng, according to The Telegraph.

In their latest transfer notebook piece,  

The report that we're in the market for another back-up goalkeeper now Loris Karius is out of contract this summer and searching for a Serie A club to bring him closer to his partner - who works in Italy - and daughter.

Crystal Palace are also credited with an interest in the 29-year-old, as are Ipswich - currently top of the Championship - and La Liga side Sevilla. He cost Boro £2m last summer and is expected to cost around double that.

Dieng is pushing to take Senegal's number one jersey off former Chelsea stopper Edouard Mendy after saving a penalty for his country in a recent clash with Benin.
