Newcastle star releases injury update ahead of final four games - "Back really soon"
Kieran Trippier has shared a positive injury update ahead of our final four games of the season, confirming he'll be "back really soon" following his return to training.
After the 33-year-old was pictured leaving for Dubai earlier this week, Craig Hope at The Mail revealed that he was in the Middle East to work with a fitness coach and aimed to be back for next weekend's final home game against Brighton.
On Tuesday night, Trippier took to Instagram to share an update for fans, saying: "So happy to be back on the grass training. Looking to be back really soon."
His training photos show him working at the NAS Sports Complex; the Dubai based facility that hosted Newcastle United during our warm-weather training camp during the 2022/23 season. Dubai-based.
The right-back has been working his way back from a calf problem that's kept him out for nine weeks and taken longer to heal than initially anticipated, but it'll be a huge boost to have him back for the final three games of the season.
