Newcastle eyeing double deal with Juventus? - Interesting claims from Italian media
According to Italian media outlet Corriere dello Sport, Newcastle are interested in signing Juventus duo Dean Huijsen and Matias Soule this summer.
The Serie A giants are looking to raise funds by cashing in on two of their youngsters who spent last season impressing out on loan in Italy.
Huijsen - a 6ft 5' ball-playing centre-back - made 15 appearances for Roma in the second half of the 2023/24 campaign and is thought to be again for a fee in the region of €25-30m.
It's claimed that Newcastle will have to fight off interest from both Borussia Dortmund and Bayer Leverkusen if they want to sign the 19-year-old centre-back, who was born in the Netherlands but represents Spain at U21 level.
Soule - a 21-year-old right-winger who plays for Argentina's U21s - recorded 14 goal contributions in 36 Serie A games at FFrosinone last season and could be available for €30-35m, meaning the pair could cost around €55-60m.
It's thought Soule is also being tracked by Bayer Leverkusen and a host of other Premier League sides, with Crystal Palace also linked with the highly-rated wide man.
