Arsenal to launch player-plus-cash bid for Bruno Guimaraes? - Dream on

According to reports this morning, Arsenal are lining up a player-plus cash offer for Newcastle United midfielder Bruno Guimaraes.

This comes via FootballTransfers, who've released an exclusive claiming that the North London club have switched their attention back to Bruno after growing frustrated in their pursuit of Real Sociedad's Martin Zubimendi.

It's been previously reported that the Gunners can't afford to pay the Brazilian's £100m release clause, so a creative part-exchange offer is what they're lining up - not that it's likely to appeal to Newcastle United!

The report highlights that Oleksandr Zinchenko, Emile Smith Rowe, Eddie Nketiah, and Thomas Partey are all available and that 'one or two' of those names are likely to be on offer to Newcastle.

Eddie Howe may be an admirer of Smith Rowe and we've been linked with Zinchenko and Nketiah in the past, but there's not a chance we'll accept a lower price and a host of unwanted Arsenal players in exchange for one of the best midfielders in the Premier League!
