Howe reacts to Vlachodimos signing as club release video message from new recruit

Eddie Howe believes new signing Odysseas Vlachodimos will add elite-level experience to his Newcastle squad and add "strong competition" to our goalkeeping department following his permanent move from Nottingham Forest.

The 30-year-old has been praised by Howe for his vast experience at "elite European and international level", with the 30-year-old playing 42 times for Greece and playing in the Champions League quarter-finals for Benfica just last year.

A "very happy" Vlachodimos has also spoken out, calling us a "huge club" with "excellent players and a great coach" after swapping the City Ground for St James' Park. Here's what both have had to say:
