Newcastle announce three St James’ Park fixtures as the Sela Cup returns

Newcastle United have announced the return of the Sela Cup with three matches set to be played next month as the final preparations before the start of the new campaign.

As we revealed earlier today, Eddie Howe’s Mags will take on Girona - who finished third in La Liga last year - Friday 9 August at 7.30pm and Ligue 1 side Stade Brestois on Saturday 10th August at 4pm.

Not only will we be looking to retain the trophy that they won last summer, the Women's team will also be playing against a yet to be announced team as part of the Sela Cup Weekender later at 1pm on the Saturday.

Becky Langley's side achieved promotion to the Barclay's Women's Championship and will be looking to go one step further to hopefully get into the Super League in the not too distant future.

Day tickets for either day will be priced at £20 for adults and £10 for concessions with season ticket holder able to purchase tickets on Wednesday 3 July while general sale will be Friday 5 July.
