Keith Downie reveals what he's "hearing" on Marc Guehi - Summer saga almost complete?

Keith Downie has just been speaking live on Sky Sports News from outside St James' Park, offering a promising update that suggests the Marc Guehi saga is finally nearing a positive conclusion.

He reports that Newcastle resumed talks with Crystal Palace yesterday and has now been told that we're moving closer to an agreement, feeling there's now a 'good chance' that the deal goes through.

Downie reveals that we have explored alternatives, but Bayer Leverkusen's Edmond Tapsoba will cost big money and sources in Germany have indicated that he's unlikely to leave the Bundesliga side. Watch what he had to say below:

The Telegraph have also issued an update similar information, suggesting a breakthrough could finally be close, while Downie was also bullish on our hopes of landing Guehi when speaking on the Loaded Mag Youtube channel last night.
