Newcastle in talks over surprise loan deal as Kieran Trippier asks to leave - Report
Kieran Trippier is looking to seal a move away from Newcastle United over the final week of the transfer window.
The Athletic's David Ornstein has released a lunchtime exclusive revealing that the 33-yar-old wants to leave before next Friday's deadline for regular first-team football and has received interest from Everton.
It's believed the Toffees have been in contact with Newcastle over a potential loan move, with Sean Dyche keen to be reunited with the man he worked with at Burnley between 2012-2015.
Ornstein reveals that held talks have also taken place with clubs in the Saudi Pro League, however there's been no agreement reached, opening the door to Premier League clubs.
It would be a shame to lose a player with his experience, quality and leadership, but with Tino Livramento taking his place at right-back and Newcastle perhaps sensing that this may be our last chance to land a good fee for the England international, it could be time to let him go if the right offer arrives.
That said, a loan to Everton would be a little underwhelming, denying us of a significant fee that could be helpful as we bid to bring in a centre-back and right-winger over the next week.
