Newcastle vs Chelsea date now all but confirmed - Full last 16 draw and schedule

Newcastle United looked a little too laboured and lethargic last night, but we got the job done in a 1-0 win over Wimbledon to set up a fourth round tie with Chelsea later this month.

Currently, the date for our last 16 tie is down as 'to be confirmed'. However, looking at our fixtures towards at the end of the month, it's pretty clear that the match will take place on Wednesday 30th October.

Newcastle face Chelsea at Stamford Bridge on Sunday 27th October in the Premier League, so the cup tie on Tyneside is highly unlikely to be played just two days later on Tuesday 29th. Equally, it couldn't be played late in the week as our next league fixture is Arsenal at home in the early 12.30pm kick-off on Saturday 2nd November, so Wednesday 30th October at 7.45pm appears to be locked in.
