Former Newcastle defender joins Rangers and ex-Mag lands La Liga move
With two more months of the summer transfer window to go, Eddie Howe and Newcastle United have had their fair share of the rumours, speculation and drama.
Talks are rapidly progressing for Anthony Elanga, James Trafford is still expected to sign, and we’re yet to get an official update on the current status of Callum Wilson.
But in all the talk of potential incomings and outgoings at the club, a pair of our former Magpies have also been on the move this window.

Rangers recruit Williamson
Former defender Mike Williamson is set to make a big jump in his coaching career, as he is set to join the set up at Scottish giants Rangers.
With former Southampton boss Russel Martin now at the helm at Ibrox, a new era is set to begin for Rangers, with goalkeeping coach Salvatore Bibbo also joining.
The 41-year-old most notably was in charge of Gateshead, where he led them to both promotion and the FA Trophy final during his stint as boss.
And after some mixed spells at MK Dons and Carlisle United, Williamson will be hoping to help Martin enact an attacking style of football like we saw at Gateshead if they want to stand any chance of dethroning Celtic.
Another Mag on the move
The fairytale story of the season arguably came right at the very end of the campaign, as Real Oviedo finally returned to the top flight of Spanish football.
Santi Cazorla is of course the big star there, but a former Newcastle cult hero will be on the move to Spain: none other than Salomon Rondon.
Having most recently played for for Mexican club Pachuca CF in the FIFA Club World Cup - Rondon will be hoping to have one last stint in the limelight of the top five leagues.
Rondon last graced La Liga all the way back in 2012, when he was top scorer for Malaga as they qualified for the Champions League under future Man City and West Ham boss Manuel Pellegrini.
