Yoane Wissa makes Alexander Isak move with Brentford star set on Newcastle
Newcastle fans find themselves in a funny position when it comes to Alexander Isak and Yoane Wissa's current antics.
While Isak has been slated for refusing to train or join our pre-season camp in Asia, Wissa stormed out of Brentford's camp in Portugal last week and is now taking a similar stance.
The difference may be that Wissa believes Brentford have broken a promise that would allow him to leave for £25m this summer, suggesting the West London club are blocking an exit they previously agreed to sanction.
But, either way, it's the case of two strikers who aren't happy at their current club and are attempting to force an exit.
Wissa is clearly hellbent on leaving and that's shown once again today, as Sky Sports reveal what he's been up to today following a return to their training base.
Keith Downie reveals that the 28-year-old did not train with his Brentford teammates and left before the rest of the squad, with the DR Congo star 'angry and dissapointed' with the club's approach to his future after bids from Newcastle.
So what next? Newcastle have had a £25m bid already turned down and were negotiating a higher offer in the region of £30-35m, only to be put off by Brentford's demands.
It's these demands that have no doubt angered Wissa, who is determined to push through a move and hoping Newcastle have no given up on a deal, with the striker eager to sign and play in the Champions League.
Recent reports suggest Brentford WILL sell for around £30m, but only once a replacement is signed, adding to a messy situation for all parties with the 2025/26 season kicking off two weeks tomorrow.
