Two changes? - Predicted Newcastle team to face Leeds tonight

Newcastle are back in Premier League action tonight, taking on Leeds in the 8.15pm kick-off at St James' Park.

Eddie Howe's Mags are looking to make it three wins in a row for the first time this season, while Daniel Farke's Leeds are unbeaten in their last seven and bidding to move further clear of the relegation zone.

Ahead of the official team news at 7pm, here is the side we're backing Howe to go with and why...

Predicted line-ups

(4-3-3): Pope - Miley, Thiaw, Schar, Hall - Bruno, Tonali, Joelinton - Barnes, Woltemade, Gordon.

I had initially predicted Livramento to come back in at right-back, allowing Miley to move into midfield and giving Tonali a rest. However, having thought about it, I think we could see the same back four that helped us to that first clean sheet in 13 on Sunday.

This would mean no changes in midfield, with Bruno key and Joelinton impressing in our last two games, although I would not be surprised if Bruno moved into the deeper role and Ramsey or Willock came into midfield.

The key changes that I am confident about are in attack, where I expect Barnes to replace Murphy (muscle fatigue) down the right and Woltemade to return up top.

Big Nick was hasn't started our last two games and should be fresh from a rest, while Wissa doesn't seem likely to start three games in eight days when he's not long returned from a lengthy knee injury.

For Leeds, Ethan Ampadu is set to return from a one-game ban, but Joe Rodon and Jayden Bogle could miss out again, meaning Belgian centre-back Sebastiaan Bornauw and former Leicester full-back James Justin could start again.

Predicted Leeds XI (3-5-2): Perri - Bornauw, Bijol, Struijk - Justin, Aaronson, Ampadu, Stach, Gudmundsson - Okafor, Calvert-Lewin.
