Newcastle in talks over double deal with Bradford City - Report

Newcastle's January window has been a quiet one so far, with Ben Parkinson's permanent move to Falkirk the only move in or out.

Incomings are needed as injuries begin to mount, but it looks like two more former Under-21 talents will be heading for the exit door, this time on loan.

This comes from The Mail's Craig Hope, who reports that Harrison Ashby and Joe White could be heading to the EFL.

He reveals that the pair are in talks over a January switch to Bradford City, who are currently third in League One and pushing for automatic promotion to the Championship.

Ashby, 24, is thought to be available for permanent transfer, as we shared last week, but another loan move appears to be in the offing after previous spells in the Championship with QPR and Swansea.

As for White, the 23-year-old was recalled from a loan spell at Leyton Orient earlier this month and needs game time at senior level, with his contract at Newcastle entering its last 18 months this year.

It could be a good opportunity for Ashby to play regularly given his previous experience in the Championship, but it will be interesting to see if White gets enough minutes after struggling for starts at Leyton Orient, who are 15 places lower than Bradford in League One.
