Newcastle official travels to see Juventus star Pierre Kalulu - Report
Transfer links are starting to emerge ahead of the summer window, which looks set to be a busy one for Newcastle United; whether we're in Europe or not.
FC Koln's Said El Mala is a new link that's emerged following his impressive form in Germany, while today brought news that we're taking a very close look at Monaco's Lamine Camara.
Then there are reports from Italy on our supposed interest in a Juventus defender who is no stranger to Sandro Tonali, having played with the midfielder and Malick Thiaw at AC Milan.
That man is Pierre Kalulu, with TuttoJuve reporter Mirko Di Natale claiming that Newcastle have sent club officials to watch the versatile 25-year-old on several occasions this season.
Liverpool, Man Utd and Man City are also admirers of the pacey centre-back, who can also play at right-back, although it is stated that he's in no rush to leave Juventus after nailing down a starting spot with the Serie A side.
Speaking about his relationship with Tonali earlier this year, he said: “Sandro is a friend, we won a Scudetto together, and I’m very close to him.
“He’s certainly a strong player, but we’re on two different teams now: I wish him the best, but today I’m happy with the teammates I play with. Then… we’ll see.”
Kalulu is also represented by CAA Stellar; an agency who looks after Will Osula, Nick Pope, former Mag Elliot Anderson and long-term target James Trafford.
Time will tell if Newcastle really are in the mix for the Frenchman, but our strong relationship with CAA could do our chances of striking a deal no harm should we pursue a deal.
