Anthony Gordon set to leave the Premier League this summer - Report
Newcastle United look very likely to be saying goodbye to Anthony Gordon in the summer with the England winger being pursued by several clubs.
Bayern Munich are thought to be the frontrunners for Anthony Gordon's signature, although their valuation is well below that of Newcastle's and could be a bit of a sticking point.
Meanwhile, there's thought to be plenty of interest closer to home with Arsenal, Chelsea and Liverpool all having been linked with the 25-year-old in the past.
Where Gordon ends up next is anyone's guess, really, but there have been strong suggestions that it won't be in the Premier League.
Anthony Gordon wants a challenge outside of England
Sky Sports Germany's Florian Plettenberg believes that Gordon's future lies abroad, as the journalist has taken to X to once again claim that Gordon sees himself playing outside of England.
"As reported and confirmed: Anthony Gordon is set to leave Newcastle after the end of the season. His priority is a new challenge outside England."
His priority may be a move outside of England, but if Bayern Munich fail to meet Newcastle's valuation, then that becomes a problem for him, unless there are any other European clubs lurking in the shadows.
Fingers crossed Gordon moves abroad
In an ideal world, Anthony Gordon would stay at Newcastle and commit to playing like he did last season, but clearly that's not going to happen, so the next best thing for Newcastle fans would be for him to move abroad.
We're not going to be playing in Europe next season, well, certainly not the Champions League, so he can't haunt us in that competition next season, but his playing abroad massively reduces the likelihood of him coming back to bite us like Elliot Anderson did last weekend.
We just want a resolution now. Hopefully, this is all sorted out quickly and doesn't cast a huge shadow over our off-season like Alexander Isak did last year.
