Chris Sutton predicts nightmare Saturday for Newcastle United
Newcastle United face bogey team Brighton and Hove Albion in a 3pm kick-off at St James' Park on Saturday.
As well as Brighton being a bit of an achilles heel for the Magpies, they also have a player in Danny Welbeck who just loves a goal against Newcastle.
Eddie Howe has certainly got his work cut out for him ahead of this one, with so many things going against his team before the match even gets underway.
Brighton are chasing Europe and are in good form going into the game, whereas Newcastle are on a dire run of results, and some people would argue that they are in the relegation battle.
Chris Sutton expects a Brighton win
Certainly, Chris Sutton doesn't think Newcastle are safe yet, nor does the BBC pundit expect them to do themselves any favours on Saturday.
"Newcastle still need a point or two to make sure of their Premier League survival, which is not something anyone expected to be saying about them come the start of May.
"I do think the Magpies have enough points already - they have 42 and the most third-bottom Spurs can get is 46 - but I also don't expect them to add to their tally here.
"Brighton are on a roll and look strong candidates for sixth place and European football.
"I am backing them to win, and for Danny Welbeck to notch again for the Seagulls and finish the season as the top-scoring Englishman in the Premier League - he already has 13 goals this season, the same as Morgan Gibbs-White at Nottingham Forest, two more than Ollie Watkins for Aston Villa and Dominic Calvert-Lewin at Leeds.
Sutton's prediction: Newcastle 1-2 Brighton
We'll take a draw
We aren't brave enough to predict a Newcastle win for this one, as much as we obviously hope that is the case. After five losses in a row, coming up against to Brighton side who are unbeaten in their last five, a draw might not be the worst result.
Paul Merson backed a draw with his prediction, but we can see why Sutton would go with the scoreline he has, especially if Welbeck gets on the pitch. Honestly, the sooner he retires, the better for us.
All runs have to come to an end eventually, though, so we've got everything crossed that we end Brighton's run of dominance in this fixture, Danny Welbeck's record of scoring against us and, more importantly, our run of defeats.
