EXCLUSIVE: Early details of Newcastle's 2027/28 kits and Adidas originals designs
NUFCBlog can exclusively reveal early details of Newcastle United’s 2027/28 away and third kits, with both designs already understood to have been drafted by Adidas.
Next season's away kit is set to feature a "Real Green" colourway, while a "Night Navy" third kit is in the pipeline.
A new Adidas originals "stadium" jacket and icon range is also set to be released next summer (see both below), along with a navy training top. The colours used in the navy training top and green originals jacket are set to mimic those used for the upcoming away and third kit.

As always with early kit information, details can still change before launch, and we can't yet determine the materials from the images we've seen, but these are the colours and official design descriptions currently understood to be attached to The Magpies’ 2027/28 range.
Green away kit set to return
Despite a significant section of the fanbase hoping the club had moved away from green following recent releases, it appears the colour is set to make another return next season.
The 2027/28 away kit is understood to feature a "Real Green" colourway, continuing a trend that has become increasingly familiar since the club's Saudi-backed takeover.
Previous green kits have divided opinion among supporters, with many labelling them "Saudi green" and questioning the repeated use of the colour in Newcastle's kit rotation.
However, the Adidas official design description suggests the choice is rooted in Newcastle's own history rather than recent ownership links.
It reads:
"Newcastle United shares an intrinsic bond with the green colourway, inspiring the direction for the 27/28 season. The minimalist, elegant design celebrates that, reflecting the timeless sophistication uniquely associated with NUFC."
The shade is understood to be similar to the green currently used by MLS side Austin FC (pictured below), offering an indication of the overall look supporters can expect when the strip is officially unveiled.
2027/28 third kit expected to be Navy
Newcastle's third kit is understood to be "Night Navy", with the design taking inspiration from one of the club's most recognisable symbols – the magpie. The official description states:
"Known as the Magpies, Newcastle United celebrates its iconic nickname with a jersey inspired by the graceful flight of the bird, creating a distinctive piece that pays tribute to the club's passionate fanbase."
While specific design details remain under wraps, the description points towards a more creative approach than a standard change strip, with the club seemingly using the magpie as a central theme.
