Nick Woltemade has completed a deadline day move to Juventus.

After arriving in Turin earlier today, the forward has sealed a season-long loan move to the Serie A giants.

The deal is a straight loan, earning Newcastle £3.5m, and includes no option or obligation to buy the German international next summer.

Juventus will also cover the striker's wages in full, just 12 months on from his club-record £69m switch from Stuttgart.

It's believed Newcastle only sanctioned Woltemade's exit once a replacement was secured, with versatile forward Matias Fernandez-Pardo arriving in a £51m switch from Lille.

Newcastle have released a statement following Big Nick's loan move, wishing the 24-year-old all the best ahead of his season in Italy:

'Newcastle United forward Nick Woltemade has completed a season-long loan move to Serie A side Juventus.

The German international has featured 53 times in all competitions, scoring 11 goals, since joining the Magpies from VfB Stuttgart last summer.

Nick appeared as a second-half substitute during Saturday’s 2-0 Premier League victory away to Tottenham Hotspur.

The 24-year-old will now link up with Luciano Spalletti’s Juventus, who sit fourth in the Italian top-flight after winning both of their opening fixtures.

What happens next summer is anyone's guess, but this feels like a good move for all parties.

It enables Big Nick to hopefully get his mojo back while playing at a high level, Jaissle to sign a replacement (Fernandez-Pardo) more suited to his style and Newcastle to protect the player's value, rather than leave him on the bench for much of the 2026/27 season.
