Will Osula injury more serious than first feared - Worrying update from Denmark
Some worrying news has emerged from Denmark regarding the severity of Will Osula's foot injury.
After the striker was unable to continue in last month's 2-2 draw with Liverpool at St James' Park, it was initially reported that Osula would be missing for 'at least a couple of weeks'.
However, almost a fortnight on, it seems the former Sheffield United talent could be sidelined far longer, according to a new report from Denmark.
Osula facing lengthy spell out?
Danish outlet Viaplay are reporting that Will Osula is facing a 'long time' out with a foot injury.
They state that the 23-year-old has been wearing a protective boot after picking up the issue two Sundays ago, when he struggled to shake off a heavy knock suffered in the first half.
Viaplay claim that he is a doubt for the next international break, which takes place after our home clash with Hull on the 19th September.
Striker could miss four more games
If Osula isn't back until after the international break, he could miss SIX games in total.
Having already sat out our 3-2 win over West Brom in the Carabao Cup and last Saturday's 2-0 win at Spurs, Osula could miss league games against Bournemouth, Leeds and Hull, along with our cup trip to Millwall.
Let's hope it's nothing major and no more than this, with Matthias Jaissle set to be quizzed on the striker's fitness during his press conference later today.
