Osula & Miley start in SIX changes - Confirmed Newcastle & Crystal Palace line ups

Newcastle United have arrived at Selhurst Park and the team sheets are in, with Eddie Howe’s Mags taking on Oliver Glasner's Crystal Palace.

It's our first game since that derby disaster exactly three weeks ago today, while Palace won on Thursday night in a Europa Conference League victory over Fiorentina.

Newcastle XI: Ramsdale - Livramento, Thiaw, Botman, Hall - Miley, Tonali, Joelinton - Murphy, Osula, Gordon. 

Substitutes: Pope, Trippier, Wissa, Barnes, Elanga, Woltemade, Willock, Burn, Ramsey

Palace XI: Henderson - Richards, Lacroix, Canvot - Munoz, Lerma, Hughes, Mitchell - Johsnon, Pino - Strand-Larsen.

Six changes explained

Howe has made six changes from our defeat to Sunderland, seeing Thiaw, Livramento, Miley, Tonali, Murphy and Osula replace Burn, Trippier, Ramsey, Woltemade, Elanga and Barnes.

Miley's return is a welcome one after missing the last two months with a leg injury, while Botman will play in a mask after returning earlier than expected following surgery on his face.

Bruno remains out, along with Schar, and Woltemade has dropped to the bench, despite calls before kick-off to see the big German return to a No.9 role.

For Palace, they've rested the likes of Sarr, Wharton, Kamada and Mateta, with the Eagles travelling to Italy next week for their European return leg in Florence.
