Bruno Guimarães is always being linked with a move away from Newcastle, so we were perhaps getting a bit complacent that he was here for the long haul.

Along with Bruno's love for the club, we were feeling a bit bulletproof, but this news from an often very reliable source is a dagger to the heart.

What makes it worse is that Ornstein claims that not only has Bruno Guimarães spoken of his desire to leave, but he also wants to join Arsenal.

Arsenal are willing to pay £60 million for the 28-year-old, and now that Bruno has informed Newcastle that he wants to leave, they may have to accept it.

Losing Bruno Guimarães is a sickening thought to any Newcastle fan, but losing him to Arsenal could be too much for the Toon Army to handle.
