The 16-year-old midfielder has impressed in Leicester's youth ranks and looks set to be the latest domestic talent snapped up by the club.
Boothe will link up with Newcastle's Under-18 side, who shone in the Premier League last season, finishing third in the 2025/26 table behind winners Man City and runners-up Man Utd.
The youngster played 18 times in Leicester's Under-18 side last season before featuring twice for their Under-21s at the age of just 15, highlighting his rate of development.
Boothe, who is on Adidas' roster, is described as a tall and technical central midfielder with quick feet and big potential.
