Leaked photos reveal Adidas' new Newcastle range - Alan Shearer's 30-year collection

We'd have preferred to see three points at Coventry last night, but Newcastle United fans could soon have another retro collection to get excited about, with leaked images revealing a new Adidas range celebrating club legend Alan Shearer.

Footy Headlines, a website known for leaking upcoming football kits and merchandise designs, has revealed an upcoming collection marking 30 years since our former No.9 arrived at St James’ Park.

Adidas to release retro  Shearer range

According to Footy Headlines, Adidas is preparing a special Newcastle United collection inspired by the club’s 1996-97 training gear, with Shearer’s arrival on Tyneside in the summer of 1996 providing the inspiration.

As the leaked photos show, the latest collection is said to include a T-shirt, hoodie and woven tracksuit, all featuring Newcastle’s traditional black-and-white colours.

The designs recreate Adidas’ mid-1990s training aesthetic, with broad white Three Stripes running diagonally from the sleeves towards the lower body.

The boxed white patch featuring the number nine also pays tribute to Shearer’s legendary shirt number.

Shearer signed for Newcastle from Blackburn Rovers in July 1996 for a then-world-record £15 million fee, becoming the centrepiece of Kevin Keegan’s side.

Three decades later, the German sportswear giant is reportedly preparing a nostalgic range to celebrate one of the most iconic signings in the club’s history.

Footy Headlines reports that the collection is expected to arrive in November 2026, although neither Adidas nor Newcastle United has officially confirmed the release.
