Newcastle United announce three-year sponsorship deal with KNOX Hydrate
Newcastle United recently partnered with KNOX Hydrate to sponsor the Benton training ground, which will be known as The KNOX from next season.
However, on top of that, it was recently reported that the South African brand was to take up the option to be the Magpies' front-of-shirt sponsor too.
The three-year deal with Saudi entertainment company Sela came to an end this summer, and talks were ongoing to find a new partner well after the season had ended.
This led to Newcastle releasing their new home kit with no sponsor on the front of the kit, but now the club has confirmed the deal with KNOX and images of what the shirt looks like with their logo on have been released.
KNOX will be on the shirts of the men's, women's and academy teams' kits
As confirmed by the club via the official website, KNOX has signed a three-year deal to be the front-of-shirt sponsor for the men's, women's and academy teams.
CEO David Hopkinson, speaking to the official website, hailed the deal as 'transformative'.
"Our relationship with Knox Hydrate has absolutely flourished, and we are ecstatic to announce them as our principal front-of-shirt partner for the next three years. This is a transformative deal for Newcastle United.
"Knox is an explosive, innovative brand that perfectly matches our ambition and shares our long-term vision for global success. To have them playing such an integral, visible role across our Men's, Women's, and Academy teams is a massive statement. Together, we are ready to supercharge our growth both on and off the pitch, delivering incredible experiences for our fans worldwide."
KNOX are 'creating a legacy'
KNOX Hydrate CEO John Schaeffer claims they aren't just putting a name on a shirt; they are creating a legacy.
"We are absolutely thrilled to take our partnership with Newcastle United to the ultimate level. The energy, passion, and trajectory of this club mirror our own relentless drive to disrupt the global hydration market. Becoming the front-of-shirt partner for the next three years, alongside our commitment to 'The Knox' training centre, allows us to fully embed ourselves in the fabric of this historic club and its unbelievable fanbase.
"We aren't just putting our name on a shirt; we are investing in a legacy that will inspire generations. We can't wait to see the teams run out with Knox on their chests, and we look forward to achieving great things together over the next three seasons."
The KNOX logo is working for us
The club has confirmed that those who bought the home shirt without the logo will be able to get the KNOX Hydrate sponsor printed on and that ready-printed shirts are coming later down the line.
The upcoming away and third shirts will come to market already with the KNOX branding on them.
Is it just us, or does the KNOX branding make the home shirt look infinitely better?
