Tino Livramento holds talks with Arsenal - Report
Newcastle United fans have been operating under the expectation that Tino Livramento is likely to leave the club in the summer.
For a long time, it was believed that Manchester City would be making a move for the England right back in the summer, and the feeling was that Newcastle would not be able to convince the 23-year-old to stay.
Since those rumours started, though, Tino Livramento's form had dipped before he picked up yet another injury.
It's touch and go whether Livramento will make another appearance this season, but it's now thought that his injury record could be enough to make Manchester City look elsewhere.
Arsenal hold 'in-depth' discussions with Tino Livramento's representatives
Meanwhile, stories appeared on Sunday that Arsenal have held positive talks with Livramento ahead of a potential summer bid, with the story claiming personal terms would not be a problem if any deal could be agreed with Newcastle.
FootballTransfers report that Arsenal will turn to Tino as a replacement for Ben White, who looks to be heading out of the Emirates after falling below Jurrien Timber in the pecking order.
Newcastle want to hold on to Livramento, but are also open to selling big players to raise funds, so if they can pick up a decent fee, a sale could happen before next season.
There are parts that make sense, but not everything
While we admit that it's possible that Tino could be on his way out of the club in the summer, we're not convinced by this story at all.
Football Transfers claims that Arsenal held 'in-depth' conversations with Livramento's representatives, but if that was the case, an outlet like The Athletic or the Daily Mail with contacts within the actual clubs would have picked it up before Football Transfers.
We're not ruling out a move to Arsenal for Livramento. A lot of it makes sense, we just feel that they may have embellished a little bit too much with their claims.
Rumour Rating: 5/10 - It would be like a 1/10 if we were only rating the discussions part of the story, but there is a chance that Arsenal could see Tino as a good bet in teh summer, so there is some credibility to it.
