WATCH: Nick Woltemade and Malick Thiaw return to training

Newcastle United's training ground is starting to look more and more full as players filter back from their summer breaks.

Players who took part in the World Cup are starting to return to training at The KNOX, although Bruno Guimarães (if he returns) and Dan Burn are still on an extended break.

Our German representatives returned to training on Monday as Nick Woltemade and Malick Thiaw were greeted by their new teammates and some familiar faces.

Newcastle United posted a clip on X of Nick Woltemade speaking to new boy Ewen Jaouen while Malick Thiaw was accosted by Anthony Elanga.

Yoane Wissa and Bazoumana Toure also returned

DR Congo striker Yoane Wissa was also back and was seen speaking to Jaouen in French.

Everyone looks to be in great spirits, and we're definitely impressed with Jaouen getting around and speaking with everybody.

Bazoumana Toure has also reported for training and is looking rather pleased with himself.

Will Bruno Guimarães be heading to Spain with the group?

The lads head to Bristol City on Wednesday, but we doubt any of those who returned to training this morning will feature in that game.

After that, it's off to La Manga for a training camp in Spain where they'll also play a friendly against Valencia a week on Saturday.

That should give everyone enough time to get up to speed, at least enough for a cameo. Although we're not expecting to see Tino Livramento in action until later in the summer.

The big question is whether Bruno Guimarães will still be part of the squad by then.
