Bruno Guimaraes exit fears increase following photo from World Cup
Transfer season is absolutely insane at times. Bruno Guimaraes is being heavily linked with a potential Newcastle United exit this summer, as has become tradition at this point.
Arsenal are thought to be probing with a view to trying to take the Newcastle skipper away from Tyneside.
As things stand, Newcastle remain resolute that Bruno Guimaraes is absolutely not for sale and no offers will even be entertained.
On the other side, there has been nothing from Bruno to suggest he wants to leave, but there's a growing suspicion in the media that he would be open to a move.
This is getting silly now
Now we're at the point where every little thing is being hyper-analysed. Bruno 'liked' a post on social media from Fabrizio Romano that mentioned Arsenal, so that confirmed the deal is on.
After Brazil's win over Japan on Monday, Bruno's agent, Alexis Malavolta, was pictured with ... get this ... two other agents who have had dealings with Arsenal. Deal is on.
The Chronicle reports that super agent Kia Joorabchian was pictured with Malavolta along with Giuliano Bertolucci, who runs the agency Malavolta works for. Bertolucci was involved in the deals that took Gabriel and David Luiz to Arsenal.
Three big players in the game all meeting together can only mean that Bruno Guimaraes is leaving Newcastle.
Look, we understand why this is being reported, we also get how it's easy to interpret this the way it is being portrayed, but come on.
We're still calm. Breathe in. Breathe out.
Our view is that it's three people, two of whom work for the same company, all of whom do the same job, meeting at an event and posing for a photo. Do you honestly think that if they were there to do business, especially business THIS big and at this early of a stage, they'd be flaunting it?
This is where you say that they're doing it to push the narrative and force Newcastle's hand.
While this Bruno stuff is still speculation based on reading between the lines of every little thing, we're going to remain calm and shoot holes in all the logic until there's too much evidence to deny.
There's enough negative stuff flying around the club right now; we don't need to worry about things that, as far as we know right now, aren't happening.
