Bruno Guimaraes seriously considering Newcastle exit despite contract clause - Report

Newcastle United fans are once again being subjected to endless rumours about the future of Bruno Guimaraes.

It happens every year without fail, you'd think we'd be used to it by now, but this year is different because Bruno is shining at the World Cup and that's just bringing more attention his way.

As it stands, Arsenal are thought to have made some enquiries but have faced rejection from Newcastle, who insist that Bruno Guimaraes is not for sale.

Newcastle have the option to extend Bruno's contract to 2029

There are some who think that Bruno Guimaraes is open to a move away from Newcastle this summer, but the club will absolutely not entertain any offers. 

The Shield Gazette’s Dominic Scurr has reported today that there is a clause in Bruno's contract that could keep him at the club until 2029, which should make Arsenal's task all the more difficult. He is thought to be ‘seriously considering’ a move away, however, which adds to our niggling concerns. 

There was a worry after Bruno helped himself to his fourth assist of the World Cup on Monday. Fabrizio Romano (him again) posted an image of Guimaraes wearing a crown on Instagram, celebrating his assist tally, but also mentioned the £55m bid from Arsenal.

Don't Panic!

It's easy to flip out and see that Bruno has liked a post about him moving to Arsenal, but *gulps the copium* we feel it's far more likely that Bruno saw a picture of himself wearing a crown and hit the heart button.

He may have read the whole post and hit that like button purely for the celebration of his assist haul. Without a comment to back it up, we can't know for sure.

Which is why we're choosing to believe that he was liking the image of himself as football royalty.
