'Official' photos of Newcastle United away kit leak online ahead of launch

Newcastle United's away kit has long been known to fans as a blue and white design with retro badging; however, not every detail has been accurate.

We have, at this point, seen plenty of images claiming to be the official design of Newcastle's 2026/27 away shirt.

It will be a dark blue shirt with white badges. The Adidas trefoil logo and more traditional thinner sleeve stripes will adorn the shirt along with a white-out version of the 1976-1983 Magpie badge.

However, while all the leaked images showed a brick design running through the shirt, thought to be a nod to the bricks of St James' Park, these new images show a castle turret motif.

What an absolute stunner of a shirt

We had been made aware that turrets were going to be the actual design and not brick, and seeing these images has confirmed that to be the case.

Opaleak on X posted what they claim to be official images of the shirt on Wednesday night, and to be fair, they do look pretty official.

Like the home shirt launch, there is no sponsor on the front of the shirt in these images, although the club did say when they announced the partnership with KNOX that away and third kits would ship with the sponsor on them.

Bring back the bricks

We probably prefer the brick design over the turrets, but it's still an absolutely gorgeous shirt. The light blue and white collar and cuffs add a nice touch, along with the magpie on the neck.

While we've not seen it, we can safely assume that the KNOX sponsor will be all white too. It's pretty much completely white anyway, but on the home shirt, it has a black outline to help it stand out on the shirt.

There's no mention yet of when the kit will be available to buy, but we imagine it won't be much longer. Will you be there to snap this one up?
