WATCH: Aladji Bamba goes straight into training after £30m move from Monaco

Newcastle United's new signing Aladji Bamba wasted no time getting stuck in at Benton on Friday.

The 20-year-old Frenchman only flew to Newcastle on Thursday to complete the deal after the Magpies agreed a fee with Monaco.

Around 25 hours after the news broke of Newcastle's approach for the defensive midfielder, the club announced his signing.

As is tradition when a new player arrives, Newcastle United released a day-one video showing how everything unfolded as the transfer was completed.

Aladji Bamba has already trained with his new club

The video shows Bamba's arrival at the airport, followed by a small meet-and-greet with a few club officials and players before we see him at the table posing for his contract-signing photographs.

Soon after that, we see him donning his boots and heading out onto the training pitch, where he's introduced to the team by Eddie Howe.

We get our first glimpse of the man in action with a few clips from training, including some lovely footwork leading to a nice pass. 

We're hoping to see Bamba in action on Saturday

It looks as though Bamba's English is currently limited, as he mostly spoke French, so it makes sense that we saw him bonding with fellow new signing and compatriot, Ewen Jaouen.

It may be too early, having just arrived, but we hope to see Bamba in action for at least a few minutes on Saturday at Gateshead International Stadium.

He didn't waste any time getting into training, so why not throw him into a pre-season friendly straight away too? Hopefully he'll not be the only newbie we see tomorrow. We want our first look at Sean Steur, Bazoumana Toure and Ewen Jaouen, please.
