WATCH: Newcastle United reveal new away kit ahead of today's launch
Newcastle United will today launch their new away kit for the upcoming season after a brief delay.
The blue and white kit was due to be released on Tuesday morning, but following the death of Kevin Keegan, the club pushed back the launch until Friday.
At 9am today, the new away kit will finally go on sale, and the club released a teaser video for the launch on social media on Thursday evening.
Focusing on the younger generation of fans, the promotional video shows glimpses of the shirt without giving us a proper good look.
For the youth
Instead, the video shows young fans running around with the new kit, spliced with a few close-ups of various areas of the shirt.
The video does confirm that the shirt will ship with the KNOX Hydrate sponsor on, unlike the home shirt, which launched without a sponsor initially.
From the glimpses we see of the shirt in the video, we can confirm that the design is as the leaks suggested. Blue and white with a castle turret motif running through the design.
We're expecting a better launch for this kit
After the disastrous launch of the home kit, we expect this one will look a lot more like a kit launch at Newcastle should, with big queues outside the club shop this morning.
We've also got a look at the goalkeeper shirt thanks to a whoopsie by JD Sports, who shipped a Newcastle GK top to a Scotland fan instead of the Scotland International goalkeeper shirt.
The two designs are practically identical, so it was an easy mistake to make. The goalkeeper jersey, even with the lack of originality, does look really nice, but the outfield away shirt is the clear winner for us. It's a beauty.
