Coca-Cola joins Newcastle as club announce multi-year agreement

Newcastle United have confirmed a multi-year partnership with Coca-Cola, which becomes our official soft drinks partner and the presenting partner of St James’ STACK.

The club’s announcement confirms the agreement after we covered reports of a Coca-Cola deal last month, when the company was being lined up to replace Sela at the fanzone.

What the Coca-Cola deal includes

Supporters can expect live music, interactive fan activities, matchday giveaways and VIP experiences at STACK throughout the season. The partnership will also include digital content built around football, music and Newcastle’s wider culture.

Chief revenue officer Dave O’Connor welcomed the agreement, saying: “We’re delighted to welcome such an esteemed partner to Newcastle United.”

The club has described the deal as a global partnership, although its announcement does not disclose the financial value or specify how many years it will run. Earlier reporting from The Telegraph, covered in our August article, described a prospective multi-million-pound contract.

It follows the recent extension of our BetMGM partnership, with KNOX, Guinness and SumUp also featuring in the club’s recent commercial expansion.

Another agreement secured, then, and a recognisable addition to the club’s sponsors. The financial terms would give us a clearer idea of its significance, but supporters should see some of the benefits directly at STACK this season.
