Newcastle announce multi-year commercial deal - Coca-Cola next and more to come

Newcastle United's commercial team have been busy since David Hopkinson's arrival as the club's CEO.

KNOX Hydration sponsor our training ground and kit, we've struck a multi-year partnership with Guinness and have SumUp as our training kit sponsor.

It's all part of Hopkinson's ambitious plan to grow the club's revenue up to 50% by 2030, and another multi-year deal has been confirmed this morning, with more in the pipeline.

Another BetMGM deal secured

Newcastle have announced a multi-year deal to extend the club's partnership with leading sports betting and entertainment brand, BetMGM.

The renewal is part of Newcastle's 'relentless ambition' to build a strong, global commercial portfolio, as Newcastle's Chief Revenue Officer, Dave O'Connor highlights.

This partnership will see the return of the BetMGM half-time challenge during home games at St James' Park.

Reacting to the agreement, Newcastle CRO, Dave O’Connor, said:

“Our partnership with BetMGM has become a real favourite amongst our supporters over the last three seasons, consistently delivering memorable, fan-first experiences and generating viral moments that have driven our marketing ambitions.

“Renewing our partnership is testament to the strong trust and shared success we’ve built together. It reinforces our relentless ambition to build a powerful, global commercial portfolio, partnering with best-in-class brands across diverse sectors.”

Coca-Cola coming next

Hopkinson hopes to boost commercial revenues by £200m-per-year before 2030 and another major deal is in place to help achieve that.

As we reported last month, the club are set to announce a new multi-million-pound deal with global heavyweights Coca-Cola.

Coca-Cola will replace Sela as the official sponsor of the St James’ STACK fan zone, after our three-year deal with the Saudi events company expired earlier this year.

In yesterday's piece for The Mail, Craig Hope also highlights that 'more partnership announcements are expected in the coming months', highlighting the work being done behind the scenes to bring Hopkinson's 2030 goal to life.
