Jaouen and Botman start, but no Bamba in Bristol - Confirmed Newcastle team news
Newcastle are back in pre-season action tonight, taking on Championship side Bristol City at Ashton Gate.
It's our third friendly of the summer, coming after our behind-closed-doors win (3-0) over Darlington and Saturday's 1-1 draw against Gateshead at the GIS.
Here's the side Eddie Howe has gone with for the 7.30pm kick-off.
Confirmed line-up
Newcastle XI: Jaouen - J. Murphy, Schar, Botman, Hall - Ramsey, Steur, Willock - Elanga, Neave, Barnes.
Substitutes: Pope, Harris, Charlton, A.Murphy, Munda, Seung-soo, Pivas, Sanusi, Shahar, Ferreira, Finneran, M.Miley
Ewen Jaouen comes in for his first start in goal following his summer move from Reims, while Jacob Murphy appears to be starting at right-back.
After missing the draw with Gateshead, Sven Botman partners Fabian Schar in the heart of our defence, with Malick Thiaw back with the group but missing from a squad packed out with Under-21 talents.
Sean Steur plays in midfield once again, alongside Jacob Ramsey and Joe Willock, with Anthony Elanga straight into the side following his return from his post-World Cup break.
Sean Neave leads the line, as Will Osula is absent again. Nick Woltemade and Yoane Wissa returned earlier this week, but tonight's game comes too soon for the pair.
Too soon for Toure and Bamba
Sadly, we won't get our first glimpse of Bazoumana Toure or Aladji Bamba, with neither summer signings in tonight's squad.
Joelinton also misses out once again, as does Tino Livramento and Lewis Miley, with the latter tipped to return for next week's trip to Valencia.
Bruno Guimaraes, who continues to be linked with Arsenal despite the lack of club-to-club talks, is expected back to the club's training base on Friday after an extended summer break.
