Newcastle add Feyenoord's Anis Hadj Moussa to winger shortlist - Report
Newcastle United is ramping up its search for wingers this week.
Reports this week have credited Newcastle with an interest in 18-year-old sensation Zadok Yohanna, but the Magpies will face stiff competition from Brighton and Chelsea for the AIK winger's signature.
It's being claimed that Brighton has already agreed personal terms with Yohanna, but they've not yet thrashed out terms with the Swedish club, whereas Newcastle has put the best offer on the table to AIK.
Newcastle aren't banking on getting a deal done, it seems, as they have other targets in mind should Yohanna move elsewhere.
Newcastle are keen on Anis Hadj Moussa
According to Sky Belgium journalist Sacha Tavolieri, Newcastle are monitoring Feyenoord's Anis Hadj Moussa as a potential signing, alongside AIK's Zadok Yohanna.
He reports that Newcastle are eager to strengthen their attack this summer, and suggests both wide men have been shortlisted as potential targets.
The 24-year-old Algerian is a left-footed right winger, which our current squad sorely lacks, and will be heading to this summer's World Cup with Algeria.
Hadj Moussa notched 11 goals and six assists in 30 Eredivisie games last season down Feyenoord's right, and even captained the side on seven occasions.
Anis Hadj Moussa's goal contribution figures are impressive
Anis Hadj Moussa's numbers at Feyenoord (37 goal involvements in 83 appearances) are certainly impressive, and he looks like someone we could certainly do with at Newcastle.
While 24 isn't old by any means, it's quite a step up from the 18-year-old Yohanna. So it really depends on what Newcastle is looking for and, obviously, how much they are willing to spend, as they will also be looking for a left winger.
Hadj Moussa will be in action for Algeria during the World Cup, so he could be one to keep an eye on to get a look at what he's capable of.
