Newcastle Loan Watch: Cordero makes it five as Finneran assists and Ashby returns

Antonio Cordero scored his fifth league goal of the season for Cádiz last night, while Rory Finneran supplied another assist in Notts County's derby win at Mansfield.

There was also a welcome return from injury for Harrison Ashby, another full game for Nick Woltemade and a second Hebburn appearance for Aidan Harris.

Cordero scores again, but Cádiz lose late on

Cordero put Cádiz ahead at Mallorca on Monday night, finishing after a ball over the top in the 50th minute. The hosts equalised before scoring an 89th-minute winner to leave the Newcastle winger on the wrong end of a 2-1 defeat.

He played 79 minutes, with his fifth goal in 12 league appearances following last week's goal and assist against Ceuta.

Cordero had been an unused substitute in Thursday's 3-1 Copa del Rey win at Xerez. He was back in the starting line-up at Son Moix, though, making it six consecutive league starts.

Cádiz next host Real Oviedo on Saturday, 7 November.

Finneran helps Notts win the derby

Rory Finneran provided the assist for the opener as Notts County won 2-0 at Mansfield on Saturday, their first away league victory of the season.

The midfielder found former Mag Callum Roberts, who drove forward and finished from outside the box. County added a second after the break, with Finneran playing 74 minutes and picking up a booking.

That's another assist after his excellent contribution against Sheffield Wednesday in the previous roundup. He's getting regular starts and having an influence on results, which is exactly what we want from this spell.

Notts next visit Altrincham in the FA Cup on Saturday, 7 November. The 5.30pm kick-off will be shown live on BBC Two.

Big Nick starts again and Ashby returns

Nick Woltemade - Juventus

Woltemade played the second half of Wednesday's 2-0 defeat at Genoa before returning to the starting line-up and completing Sunday's 2-0 home win over Napoli.

As Olly covered yesterday, he also collected Juventus' Player of the Month award for October before the Napoli game.

He didn't score in either match, but has now completed two of Juventus' last three league games after starting his loan with five substitute appearances in Serie A.

Juventus next visit AZ Alkmaar in the Europa League on Thursday, 5 November.

Harrison Ashby - Luton Town

Ashby returned after three games out, coming on for the final six minutes of Saturday's 2-0 win at Peterborough.

Luton have now won four league games in a row. Their next game is away to Huddersfield tonight, Tuesday, 3 November.

The other loan updates

Alex Murphy - Kaiserslautern

Murphy started Wednesday's 2-0 German Cup win at Hannover and Saturday's 3-0 home defeat to Hertha Berlin, completing both games.

The cup victory made it three consecutive clean sheets with Murphy in the starting line-up, before the league leaders brought that run to an end. It was Kaiserslautern's first home league defeat of the season.

They next visit Osnabrück on Saturday, 7 November.

Odysseas Vlachodimos - Sevilla

Vlachodimos sat out Thursday's 3-0 Copa del Rey win at Sporting Hortaleza before returning for Sunday's 3-1 defeat at Getafe.

Sevilla led at half-time but conceded three times after the break, the last in stoppage time after being reduced to ten men.

He has still played every minute of Sevilla's 11 league games. They next host Alavés on Friday, 6 November.

Ousmane Diabaté - Gençlerbirliği

Diabaté did not feature in Thursday's 5-0 Turkish Cup win over Karaköprü Belediyespor and was suspended for Monday's league game against Alanyaspor, which Gençlerbirliği also won 5-0.

His suspension interrupted a run of six consecutive league starts. Gençlerbirliği next visit Beşiktaş on Sunday, 8 November.

Anthony Munda - Swindon Town

Munda remained out through injury as Swindon beat Rotherham 2-1 on Saturday, missing his second successive match after coming off the back of 11 consecutive league starts.

Swindon next visit MK Dons in the FA Cup on Saturday, 7 November.

Sean Neave - Wolves

Neave was an unused substitute in Saturday's 3-0 home win over Cardiff.

Wolves next visit Bristol City tomorrow, Wednesday, 4 November.

Leo Shahar - Arouca

Shahar was again an unused substitute as Arouca beat Nacional 1-0 on Sunday. He is still waiting for his first competitive appearance during the loan.

Arouca next visit Famalicão on Friday, 6 November.

Aidan Harris - Hebburn Town

Harris completed Saturday's 1-1 home draw with Harborough, making his second appearance since joining Hebburn.

The visitors took the lead when a free-kick deflected off the wall and wrong-footed him, before Hebburn equalised in the second half.

Hebburn next visit Merthyr Town on Saturday, 7 November.

Who is getting the minutes?
